Job summary

Olsson seeks an Associate Scientist to join its Industrial Environmental team in Missouri. You will contribute to projects across mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and chemical facilities, performing field surveys, data collection, environmental assessments, and compliance tasks under the guidance of senior scientists.

You will travel for site visits and support regulatory reporting; the role requires a biology/environmental science degree and 3+ years of related field experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Resources, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related scientific fieldwork.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental compliance and hazardous material assessments, ensuring data integrity and regulatory adherence.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation for environmental assessments, permits, and compliance measures.
• Support small-scale project management, including monitoring timelines, budgets, and scope under supervision of senior staff.
• Communicate complex environmental findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in overnight and out-of-state travel for site visits, with a willingness to work a non-traditional schedule as needed.
