Job summary

Lumicity partnered company is seeking an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives on site in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on implementing comprehensive EHS programs, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction across operations.

The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with permits, reporting, and major safety systems, driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of EPA, OSHA and applicable regulations.
• Experience maintaining environmental permits (NPDES/stormwater, wastewater, No Exposure Certifications).
• Experience in submitting DMRs, permit applications, Tier II reports and related documentation.
• Ability to assess hazards and implement controls with leadership and communication skills.

Job description

We are partnered with a technology leader in custom battery design & manufacturing, fuel cell systems and clean energy solutions for the aerospace, aviation, military, and renewable energy markets. They are looking for a EHS Manager who is an expert in environmental compliance, occupational safety, regulatory permitting, employee training, and risk reduction initiatives

This is a fully onsite, hands‑on role with a strong focus on environmental operations. The position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the organization. Candidates must have demonstrated hands‑on experience managing environmental compliance programs, permits, and regulatory reporting within a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

• Deep knowledge of EHS compliance programs, including program implementation, employee training, auditing, and interpretation of EPA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
• Experienced in maintaining environmental and regulatory permits, including NPDES/stormwater, industrial wastewater, and No Exposure Certifications.
• Prepared and submitted industrial wastewater discharge monitoring reports (DMRs), wastewater/stormwater permit applications, Biennial Hazardous Waste Reports, Tier II Reports, and other EHS-related regulatory documentation.
• Strong ability to assess workplace hazards and implement effective controls, with experience in lockout/tagout, machine guarding, hazard communication, fire safety, and emergency planning, supported by strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
