Job summary

State of Vermont is seeking an Env Analyst VI – Public Drinking Water Program, Sr Capacity Development Specialist in Montpelier, VT. This full-time, limited-service role supports TMF capacity building for community water systems and oversees grants and contracts related to infrastructure improvements.

The position requires advanced degrees with experience in natural resources and a strong ability to distill complex regulatory requirements for water system personnel and the public.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a biological-life or physical science, engineering, a social science, data science, or an environmental or natural resources field with 2+ years of natural resources experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3+ years of experience in natural resources.
• Six years or more of experience in engineering, environmental, social science, data science, or natural resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EPA-required sanitary surveys for new public water systems.
• Develop operating permits for new public water systems.
• Manage grants and contracts to support TMF capacity building.
• Coordinate with DW divisions and sections for outreach and permits.
