Job summary

You will inspect finished work and adhere to all safety practices while operating manual and semi-automatic welding equipment. The ideal candidate will have welding certification or near completion, up to 6 months of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be certified and successfully complete weld school or close to completion.
• 6 months of experience; preferred.
• Must be flexible and able to follow specific instructions.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be a dedicated team player.
• Must be versatile and adaptable.
• Must be able to work with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Applies welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches using welding equipment.
• May lay out and mark weld points and position pieces using fixtures and hand tools.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and observe safety practices.
• Qualifies as flat and horizontal welder.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
