Job summary

Trinity Heads, Inc. is hiring an Entry Welder at our Navasota plant to join a resilient, team-oriented workforce. This role focuses on applying welding processes to join and repair metal parts while following blueprints and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is certified in welding (or near completion), with about 6 months of experience and strong communication skills. A safety-conscious, adaptable team player who can work with minimal supervision is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Certified welder and welding school completion or near completion.
• 6 months welding experience preferred.
• Must be flexible and able to follow specific instructions.
• Must have good communication skills and be a dedicated team player.

Responsibilities

• Apply welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair metal parts according to layouts and schematics.
• Inspect welds for conformance to specifications and safety rules.
• Maintain required records and follow safety practices and committee participation if applicable.
• Work as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Trinity Heads, Inc. is hiring an Entry Welder at our Navasota plant. Our products are an
integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. Over the last 85 years, Trinity Industries has

The Entry Welder position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn’t stray away
from a challenge.

What you’ll Do:
- Applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches using manual, automatic welding and/or semi-automatic welding equipment. May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications. Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifies as flat and horizontal welder

SMAW (wire: 1G & 2G)

Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove

Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

Must be certified and successfully complete weld school or close to completion

6 months of experience; preferred

Must be flexible and have the ability to follow specific questions

Must have good communication skills

Must be a dedicated team player

Must be versatile and adaptable

Must be able to work with little to no supervision
