Trinity Industries, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is hiring an Entry Welder to join our manufacturing team.

You will apply welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts according to layouts, orders, blueprints, and sketches using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment. Typical responsibilities include welding in flat and horizontal positions, following instructions with close supervision, and building experience through apprenticeship or formal training.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of related welding experience.
• Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures.
• May require apprenticeship or formal welding training in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Qualifies as flat and horizontal welder.
• Performs oxy-fuel burning.
• Performs carbon arc welding.
• Hand welds in all positions (fillet and groove).
• May be used for new hire or trainee with no experience.
• Follows routine tasks and standard procedures with close supervision.
• Receives detailed instructions and supports team goals.
• Works on routine manufacturing assignments with clear goals.
• Contributes as a team member on the shop floor.

TheEntry Welderposition is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge.As a Welder at Trinity, you'll apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment.

What you'll do:

• Qualifies as flat and horizontal welder
• Oxy Fuel Burning
• Carbon Arcing,
• Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
• May be used for the new hire or trainee who has no experience
• Requires basic skill, routine tasks and very little training
• Works on routine manufacturing assignments that have clear goals and standard procedures
• Receives detailed instructions and close supervision.
• Problems are not very complex and do not need a lot of judgment
• Allows higher levels to handle more complex issues
• Few judgment calls
• Serves as team member

Qualifications

• Limited or no technical knowledge required
• Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures
