Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for winter 2026/27 for Ski Patrol and other seasonal positions. Join our mountain team to promote guest safety, assist injured guests, and maintain trails in a high alpine environment while delivering exceptional guest service.

Starting wage is $21–$25.05 per hour, with both full-time and part-time schedules. Applicants must be at least 18, fluent in English, and hold a current Colorado EMT certification or higher.

Qualifications

• Must be an expert alpine skier.
• Current Colorado EMT certification or higher level.
• Fluent English communication.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Promote guest safety.
• Assist injured guests on the mountain.
• Maintain trails, including closures, safety materials, avalanche mitigation, and other impacts from the natural environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
• Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment
• Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions
• Must be an EXPERT ALPINE SKIER
• Must have a Current Colorado EMT certification or higher level.

The expected pay range is$21/hr - $25.05/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
