Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for winter seasonal Ski Patrol roles for 2026/27. You'll promote guest safety, respond to incidents, and help maintain mountain trails in a high alpine environment.

Starting wage ranges from $21.51 to $25.30 per hour, with full-time and part-time shifts available. Qualified applicants will be expert alpine skiers with strong guest service, fluency in English, and the ability to work in variable weather.

Qualifications

• Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must have current Colorado EMT certification or higher.

Responsibilities

• Promote guest safety
• Assist injured guests on the mountain
• Maintain trails and safety materials, including avalanche mitigation

Job Requirements

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
• Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment
• Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions
• Must be an EXPERT ALPINE SKIER
• Must have a Current Colorado EMT certification or higher level.

The expected pay range is $21.51/hr - $25.30/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
