Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for Ski Patrol on the mountain for the 2026/2027 winter season. You will supervise guest safety on varied terrain, assist injured guests with first aid, and help with mountain operations to ensure a safe experience for guests.

The role requires passing the Ski Patrol ski test, fluent English, and strong guest service with the ability to work in inclement weather and as part of a team. Seasonal, full-time hours offered with housing not provided.

Responsible for the safety of staff and guests on the mountain, Ski Patrol are alert and dependable professionals focused on safety with the ability to remain calm in crisis when incidents arise.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage:$21.00/hr - $25.05/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and promote guest safety on varied terrain with varying winter weather conditions
• Assist injured/ill guests on the mountain and administering first aid
• Transporting injured guests off the mountain using a toboggan or supporting air lift operations
• Maintain trails, including hazard identification and setting up closures and safety materials, and other impacts from the resort environment
• Transporting supplies and heavy equipment to areas of need on skis/snowboard
• Performing closing procedures at the end of the day to ensure that all guests are safely off the mountain
• Enforcement of the Skier Responsibility Code and Resort Policies
• Chairlift and guest evacuation
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test,capable of skiing all types of terrain under all weather conditions.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Must be at least Choose an item.
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must work well in a team environment
• Must be able to work in inclement weather in a mountain environmet

The role you are being hired into requires further background check clearances by the State of Pennsylvania, which will need to be completed before you can begin work. For more information on the clearances.

The expected pay range is$21.00/hr - $25.05/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
