Job summary

International Paper is seeking an Entry Manufacturing Laborer for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) in Waxahachie, TX. The role pays $20.40 per hour plus sign-on and retention bonuses and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform quality checks, measure finished products, tag loads, and ensure orders are complete while following lock-out/tag-out and PPE standards. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic reading/writing English required.
• Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler.
• Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Stable and verifiable work history required.

Responsibilities

• Check for count accuracy and conformance to specification.
• Double check for quality issues and communicate to control room or wet end operator.
• Measure finished sheet for accuracy.
• Insert proper load tags into finished units.
• Count and stack finished product.
• Operate count station and load tag printer.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Read orders and determine if order is complete or partial.

The Job You Will Perform

• Check for count accuracy and conformance to specification
• Double check for quality issues, communicating them to control room operator or wet end operator
• Measure finished sheet for accuracy
• Insert proper load tags into finished “measured” units
• Check for unit appearance
• Operate count station and load tag printer
• Restack non-conforming units
• Hand-flip bundles when warped, or otherwise required
• Properly document non-conforming materials onto disposition sheet
• Determine whether order is complete or partial
• Operator must wear all required personal protective equipment
• Operator must be proficient in using/reading tape measure and safe use of utility knife
• Operator must keep work areas clean and free of debris, including keeping floor clean of sheets
• Operator must be able to safely lift/move up to 50lbs during regular work shift
• Operator must follow lock-out / tag-out procedures
• Prepare and set in place the “Top” dunnage for unit strapping
• Counting and stacking finished product
• Reading orders
