Job summary

Vie-Del Company is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to join a quality-focused laboratory team in Fresno, CA. You will learn analytical test methods, calibrate instruments like HPLC and pH meters, and perform routine tests on raw materials and products.

Under supervision, you will record results, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with GLP and safety procedures. A biology/chemistry-related degree or lab experience is preferred; strong Excel/Word skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or two years experience in wine or food lab and two years related college work.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Learn the theory and application of analytical test methods and SOPs through training.
• Calibrate, standardize, and operate laboratory instruments used for routine analyses.
• Test samples to verify conformity to specifications.
• Record test results on forms and write test reports; prepare graphs and charts.
• Perform microbiological tests and environmental monitoring.
• Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and prepare chemical solutions.
• Follow GLP, lab sanitation and safety procedures; cooperate with Lab Manager and QC Supervisor.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or related field preferred; or two years wine/food lab experience
