Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking an entry-level Wind Technician I for the Meadow Lake Wind Farm in Chalmers, IN. The role focuses on on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and safety-compliant equipment handling at wind-energy sites.

You will perform LOTO procedures, inspections, and documentation to support turbine maintenance. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (technical training preferred), a mechanical background, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic wind-energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school education preferred.
• Strong mechanical background with gearing-related experience.
• Experience in wind energy or related industry is a plus.
• Understanding of Microsoft products and related tools.
• Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines and related plant equipment.
• Identify safety gaps and implement risk mitigation.
• Participate in training and document work using reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Control Center for remote operations.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety programs.
