Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking a Wind Technician II for on-site operations at Meadow Lake Wind Farm - Chalmer, IN. You will perform wind turbine maintenance, inspections, and document all work to support safe and reliable wind generation.

The role requires 2–5 years in wind energy or related field, 1+ years of college/technical training, and proficiency with MS Office and SQL Server. Travel up to 10% and a strong safety mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• 1+ years of college or technical school education, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in wind energy or a related industry.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, SQL Server, facility management and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of wind turbines and related equipment.
• Proactively identify process improvements and implement change using appropriate controls.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Control Center for remote operations when needed.
• Perform QA/QC inspections and document results in service reporting system.
• Complete training and adhere to internal controls and safety programs.
• Prepare data reports to meet regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to resolve issues.
• Adhere to crane, rigging, and heavy equipment safety requirements.
