Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of applicable welding experience.
• Welding certification from a technical school preferred.
• Working knowledge of machines and tools, their use and maintenance.
• Able to adapt to a changing work environment and schedules.
• Must pass on-site welding and fabrication skills assessment.
• Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and specs to plan layout and welding operations.
• Cut, contour and bevel metal per blueprints.
• Set up equipment and welding methods for bonding pieces.
• Inspect joints and adjust processes to meet quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area.
• Work under the direction of senior welders and follow company procedures.
