Job summary

AMP United is an entry-level Structural Technician I role focused on supporting basic structural, mechanical, labor, and production tasks under direct supervision. You will assist experienced crew members with material handling, tool support, setup, cleanup, and safe jobsite execution while learning structural trade practices and project requirements.

Responsibilities include assisting with fabrication, welding, tool organization, and following safety rules.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Entry-level role with supervision and training.
  • Ability to lift and perform physically demanding work.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in industrial environments.
  • Basic welding knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic structural, fabrication, removal, installation, grinding, fitting, material handling, and production support tasks under direct supervision.
  • Carry, load, unload, stage, sort, and organize tools, materials, consumables, equipment, and work area supplies.
  • Follow supervisor direction, work instructions, safety requirements, and site access rules.
  • Assist with work area setup, cleanup, firewatch support, housekeeping, and equipment control as directed.
  • Use basic hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely and correctly when authorized.
  • Report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, missing materials, or work concerns to the Lead or Foreman.
