Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Welder for our Fort Payne, AL plant. You will contribute to drainage systems, pipelines, bridges and stormwater structures through skilled welding.

The role requires reading blueprints, laying out material, and welding with MIG or Stick techniques while adhering to safety protocols. Overtime may be offered as part of competitive wages and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in layout.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and welding procedures to ensure proper welding.
• Layout material using templates, patterns, scribes and other tools.
• Align and assemble parts for welding using cranes, hoists and chains.
• Operate cutting or plasma torches to achieve precise layouts.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
