Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, Avon Manufacturing is a custom manufacturer of steel molds for the precast concrete industry. We are looking for an experienced welder/fabricator to work with a team or independently on manufacturing molds from blueprints from start to finish.

The role emphasizes safety culture, blueprint reading, and the operation of metalworking equipment, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and adherence to CRH safety policies.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years welding/fabricating experience or completion of a welding trade program.
• Capable of reading shop blueprints.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform shop math.

Responsibilities

• Embody a strong safety culture and follow CRH/Oldcastle safety policies.
• Steel fabrication of heavy gauge materials under supervision.
• Fit, set, and install fabricated structures.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow housekeeping procedures.
• Operate overhead crane with proper rigging and safety.
• Use metalworking equipment such as plasma cutters, oxyfuel torch, grinders, welders, drills, and punches.
