Job summary

Avride is hiring an entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support deployment of autonomous delivery robots across campuses in the U.S. This part-time, weekend-based role offers hands-on learning in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly, with weekly pay and an emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will prepare robots for shifts, manage charging, perform basic repairs, calibrations, and keep the workshop organized while collaborating with remote support teams.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in varied field environments.
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Introductory background or interest in EV service, automotive repair, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare robots for the shift: ensure hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
• Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: manage power cycles for fleet readiness.
• Clean robots: maintain appearance and protect external hardware.
• Perform mechanical repairs: assist with basic repairs on the robot fleet.
• Perform service campaigns: help implement hardware or software updates across the fleet.
• Assist remote support coordinators: act as hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
• Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: ensure sensors and chassis are tuned for safe navigation.
• Keep workshop clean and tidy: maintain a safe, organized workspace for the team.
