Job summary

Avride is seeking an entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support deployment of autonomous delivery robots. This part-time, weekend-based position offers roughly 16 hours per weekend across Saturday and Sunday, with shifts varying by campus.

You will help prepare robots, manage charging, clean, perform basic repairs, and support remote tracking and calibration efforts as the fleet scales.

Qualifications

Ability to work in varied field environments.
Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely.
Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.
Clean robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.
Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.
Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.
Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.
