Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Water Team in Blacksburg, VA or Richmond, VA. You will support the design and delivery of critical water infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience and growing with the team.

This entry-level role requires a Civil Engineering degree with no experience; internships are preferred. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and MS Office is expected. EIT certification is a plus. Occasional travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• No experience required; internships and relevant coursework are preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and collaborative approach.
• EIT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates.
• Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience.
