Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Richmond, VA office. Responsibilities include water and sewer modeling, facility evaluation, design, and construction administration.

Requirements include a BS in Civil or Mechanical Eng from ABET-accredited program, 0–4 years of water/wastewater design experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and Bentley MicroStation; internship experience is required for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0–4 years of water/wastewater design experience.
• Understanding of designing water and wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping systems, and treatment systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Bentley MicroStation and water distribution/sewer modeling software is a plus.
• Internship experience required for new graduates.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
• Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or EIT preferred.
