Job summary

Prime AE Group, Inc. in Lexington, KY seeks a Design Engineer I – Water/Wastewater to join our Kentucky offices.

This entry-level civil engineering role supports planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for municipalities and private development clients. You will work with experienced engineers, prepare calculations and design documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software, and gain hands-on experience while growing professionally within PRIME AE’s

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required.
EIT certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Experience or internship in water/wastewater engineering is a plus.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, design, and coordination of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Support the planning and design of water distribution systems, storage facilities, and treatment facilities.
Prepare engineering calculations, design documents, and technical reports under guidance of senior staff.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery.
