Job summary

GPD Group in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team and work on designing and supporting water distribution networks, sanitary sewer systems, CSOs, pump stations, and related municipal infrastructure.

You will collaborate with municipalities and public agencies, contribute to project design, calculations, and documentation, and help deliver environmentally sound solutions while growing within an employee‑owned company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• FE exam passed or ability to obtain EIT within 6 months of hire.
• 3+ years of experience in ecological restoration and project coordination.
• Ability to work with senior engineers/designers and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS for mapping utility networks and researching infrastructure records.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D tools for layout and profile generation.

Responsibilities

• Support field investigations and construction oversight.
• Support design calculations for sanitary sewer, water mains, and pump stations.
• Develop design and construction documents for water/wastewater projects.
• Coordinate plan, profile, and construction documents for utility projects.
• Coordinate with surveyors, modelers, and structural engineers.
• Assist with regulatory permitting coordination.
• Other duties as assigned.
