Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Ability to apply material testing procedures.
• Ability to perform required mathematical computations.
• Working knowledge of surveying, construction plans, materials testing and construction materials/techniques.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and municipal settings relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work quality and materials used in a variety of projects.
• Verify contractors' work for accuracy, methods, and compliance with standards.
• Review and approve monthly pay applications.
• Review change orders for scope and pricing; participate in negotiations.
• Ensure traffic control and site safety compliance.
• Coordinate contractor schedules for material testing and site inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain inspection files.
