Job summary

Carollo Engineers, Inc. is seeking Construction Inspectors to support water and wastewater facility projects. You will inspect contracts, review plans for constructability, and coordinate site inspections alongside a collaborative professional team.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of field inspection experience, OSHA 10 certification, and the ability to keep neat records, work independently, and mentor junior inspectors while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of standard construction specifications, codes and special standards for water and wastewater facilities.
• OSHA Construction Safety Orders understood.
• Ability to keep neat, accurate, and concise records.
• Work independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Strong computer and internet skills.
• Completion of OSHA 10 hour safety course and other construction training.

Responsibilities

• Inspects construction contract related to water and wastewater facilities.
• Reviews contract plans and specifications for constructability, notes, errors, omissions and potential problem areas.
• Schedules, plans, coordinates, and completes site inspections.
• Coordinates construction related system outages with client facilities.
• Prepares complete inspection reports and maintains a daily diary.
• Maintains complete project files including a project photo file.
• Keeps detailed records of construction progress, changed conditions, and as built drawings.
• Prepares monthly estimates of quantity of construction completed.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with contractors, consultant, and owner.
• Responsible for actions and performance of Junior Level Construction Inspectors.
• Mentors and trains Junior Construction Inspectors.
