Job summary

WSP USA in the United States is seeking an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to support analysis, design, and delivery of projects across water supply, stormwater, habitat restoration, and related environmental disciplines.

You will collect samples and data, assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, prepare clear documentation, and help maintain safety and regulatory compliance while collaborating with engineers and analysts to meet project goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with water resources engineering concepts.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and record-keeping.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Basic proficiency with office software and math principles.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and compile environmental data from water, sludge, and other matrices.
  • Study water cycles and flow directions to assess environmental influences.
  • Maintain quality control standards for accurate measurements.
  • Assist with entry-level water resources engineering tasks.
  • Prepare complete documentation using electronic systems and field notes.
  • Follow safety guidelines and site procedures.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
