Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Lead Water Resources Engineer to join our team in the United States. The ideal candidate will lead the design and analysis of hydraulic structures and perform advanced hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and SWMM, while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's degree in water resources engineering, and at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Water Resources Engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • 5+ years in hydraulic/hydrology engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and analysis of hydraulic structures (channels, culverts, spillways, stormwater systems).
  • Conduct hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using industry tools (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM).
  • Perform floodplain mapping and flood risk assessments.
  • Develop and review technical reports, designs, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide mentorship.
