WSP in Florida is seeking an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to support analysis, development, and design of water supply, stormwater, and hydrologic modeling projects. Under supervision, you will collect data, perform basic engineering tasks, and generate clear documentation.

You will study water cycles, assist with quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance, and help with field work and entry-level technical issues. Travel may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with focus in Water Resources or related discipline.
  • Strong research skills and analytical mindset.
  • Familiarity with water resources engineering concepts, including water supply, quality, management, and treatment.
  • Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Effective communication to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as project needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, collect and compile environmental data from samples for analysis.
  • Study water cycles and flow directions to assess weather and environmental impacts.
  • Maintain quality control standards for accurate measurements.
  • Assist with basic professional water resources engineering tasks related to water resources, hydrology, hydraulics, and related fields.
  • Assist with site verification and provide entry-level technical assistance on environmental issues.
  • Generate complete, accurate documentation using electronic systems and field notebook.
  • Follow safety guidelines and site procedures, including data and logbook maintenance.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible decision-making regarding company funds and resources per WSP policies.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
