Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with water resources focus.
  • PE license (Professional Engineer) required.
  • 12+ years in hydraulic and hydrology engineering or related field.
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis and design of hydraulic structures such as dams, channels, culverts, spillways, and stormwater systems.
  • Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with industry-standard software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM).
  • Develop and review technical reports, designs, specifications and permit drawings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and urban planners.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
  • Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Ability to lead a client or sector program.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and ensure quality control.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

WSP is looking for an experienced Senior Hydraulic and Hydrology Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses 12 years of related design engineering experience and is willing to collaborate, innovate, and grow a team.

Your Impact
  • Lead the analysis and design of hydraulic structures, including dams, channels, culverts, spillways, and stormwater management systems.
