Job summary

Concord Utility Services is hiring Water Meter Specialists to join our field operations team in Anne Arundel County. This is an entry-level outdoor position where you'll install, remove, and program smart water meters at residential properties.

No previous water or utility experience is required—training is provided. What You'll Do: travel between residential locations, document completed work with a Work Order Management System and handheld devices, replace meter boxes as needed, and follow all

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical fieldwork, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and program smart water meters.
• Travel between residential locations to complete assigned work orders.
• Use a Work Order Management System (WOMS) and handheld devices to document completed work.
• Replace or repair meter boxes, lids, fittings, and related equipment as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and supervisors.
• Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
• Work independently while contributing to a team environment.
