Job summary

WSSC Water is seeking a Field Service Technician to reads, install, and replace water meters and remote reading devices for residential and commercial properties. You will respond to billing questions and may disconnect/reconnect services for delinquent accounts, while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires troubleshooting metering systems, inspecting sites for compliance, and performing preventive maintenance. Must be able to lift, work outdoors, and operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year meter reading experience.
• Valid driver's license with no more than 4 points.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install water meters and reading devices in residential and commercial properties.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic metering systems.
• Disconnect and reconnect water/sewer services for delinquent accounts.
• Maintain records and complete work tickets.
• Drive to job sites and work in outdoor environments.
