Job summary

The City of Arlington seeks a Meter Services Technician to handle daily work orders related to meter services including installation, repairs, and field problem resolution.

The position includes emergency response duties and potentially physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• Possession of or ability to obtain a Class I Wastewater Collection license within first year of employment.
• Possession of or ability to obtain Class C Water Distribution Operator’s License within 18 months.
• One year of mechanical experience OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Turn on water service for new customers.
• Investigate customer complaints.
• Replace defective meters at the metering site.
