Job summary

nLIGHT is hiring for a Wafer Fab Specialist role to produce high-powered fiber lasers and components as part of a manufacturing team. No prior experience required; on-the-job training will cover semiconductor processing, die bonding, wire bonding, electromechanical assembly, optical fibers, laser testing, and production reporting.

The position involves shift work (B Shift) with long hours in a clean room and potential overtime, alongside a robust set of benefits and career development

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Experience working in a clean room is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs wafer production operations.
• Set up, calibrate and maintain fabrication equipment.
• Collects and evaluates operating data for on-line adjustments and process optimization.
• Works from specifications, written and verbal instructions using tools/test equipment; may involve chemicals.
• Position requires working up to 12 hours in a clean room, wearing clean room garments and laser safety gear.
• Position requires extended periods of standing or sitting.
