Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Controller Integration Engineer to drive vehicle software integration and readiness across the development lifecycle. The role collaborates with VSLs, software teams, quality and integration groups to ensure robust software content and issue resolution.

The position emphasizes strong technical aptitude, rapid learning, ownership, and hands-on problem solving on vehicles, with a hybrid arrangement in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• Graduating between Dec 2026 – Jun 2027.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Ability to work in Southeast Michigan.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Execute VeSCoM processes and support software release activities for assigned vehicles and programs.
• Plan, execute, and document tests based on the CDP.
• Investigate software and calibration issues identified during vehicle integration activities.
• Create and maintain VeSCoM documentation including release notes and hardware dependencies.
• Document and track software and calibration anomalies using JIRA, GIMS, or related tools.
• Support software flashing and software updates throughout vehicle development.
• Perform preliminary root cause analysis and identify system impacts.
