Job summary

General Motors Milford Charter Township, MI is seeking an Electrical/Software Engineer to troubleshoot and root-cause failures in vehicle mechatronic control systems. You will work with hardware, software, calibrations, and data to prevent integration issues and support technicians during development and production.

Responsibilities include collaborating with test teams to develop robust testing scenarios, supporting Hil/SIL/SOLE systems, and providing status updates to owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 2 years of electrical/related experience.
• Experience developing microprocessor-based, real-time control calibrations or algorithms.
• Hands-on with HiL benches, Simulink/Stateflow, ETAS INCA, and Vehicle Spy.
• Programming in Python.
• Knowledge of Jira and automated testing.
• Experience in vehicle testing/validation at subsystem or system level.

Responsibilities

• Technical vehicle system troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Identify and fix faults in mechatronic embedded control systems.
• Collaborate with technicians to obtain data to resolve issues.
• Provide controller integration status to system owners.
• Support test environments for troubleshooting and commissioning HiL/SIL/SOLE tests.
