Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking an Inspector Apprentice to inspect customer vehicles at receipt, document findings, and complete end-of-day procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. No remote work; day shift with potential overtime, and opportunities to learn vehicle system knowledge and inspection techniques.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and safe driving record.
• Able to multitask and follow directions and instructions.
• Advanced computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information based on work order information by inspecting all customer vehicles at receipt.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up system for day-end; perform day-end procedures.
• Maintain knowledge to ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walks around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities and relevant software packages.
• Stay updated on body mechanics and inspection techniques changes.
• Demonstrate safety commitment and support Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
