Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. in Pensacola, FL is seeking an entry-level Utility Locator I to locate and mark underground utilities and produce field sketches for clients. You will operate field equipment, work outdoors in various terrains, and travel daily as required.

The role emphasizes safety, readiness to train, and the ability to work unsupervised while adhering to company policies. CDL is a plus and background checks are part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to walk outdoors for long periods through varied terrain.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, carry and operate equipment.
• Available to travel daily; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Work unsupervised when required.
• Background & motor vehicle checks, and pre-employment drug screening are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground utilities.
• Safe operation of field equipment.
• Maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and work sites.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
