Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry level Class C Lineman Underground to join its team. This role supports construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical distribution systems at multiple locations, with potential travel to other states based on customer needs.

Responsibilities include stringing wire, setting poles, assisting with transformers and switchgear, and performing tasks in high voltage environments while maintaining safety and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of minimum field experience.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of underground systems.
• Stringing underground wire.
• Setting poles and anchors.
• Assists with installing transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Assists in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Capable of assisting with the installation and hook up of a single phase transformer.
