Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman Transmission to support construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission systems. The role involves extensive travel to various sites and potential statewide assignments, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include stringing overhead wire, pole setting, device inspection, and learning transmission voltages. Candidates should be able to perform physical labor outdoors in varied weather and read

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 60 days of employment.
• CDL preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on new construction, maintenance or repair of energized/de-energized transmission lines.
• String overhead wire and set poles/anchors.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work from an aerial device and on various structures (wood, steel, etc.).
• Assist in inspecting, reading blueprints, and identifying structural issues.
