Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry-level Underground Groundman to support construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. The role involves travel to various locations and requires the ability to lift heavy loads and work in harsh outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities include setting pad mount transformers, operating tools, and ensuring safety while around high voltage systems.

Qualifications

• No experience required for entry-level role.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and performing physical labor.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground construction, maintenance and repair work safely.
• Set pad mount transformers and assist with transformer hookups.
• Work around energized and de-energized systems with proper PPE.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Travel to various locations as required by customer demands.
