Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry-level Underground Groundman to support construction, maintenance, and repair of underground electrical distribution systems. You may travel to other states as needed and must lift heavy loads while working outdoors in varying conditions.

The role emphasizes safety, basic rigging knowledge, tool use, and the ability to follow directions. CDL permit within 60 days is required or preferred, with overtime and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime and outside normal hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance or repair of underground distribution work safely.
• Set pad mount transformers.
• Work around energized high-voltage systems with care for safety.
