Job summary

BrightView in Dallas is seeking a Climber I, an entry-level arborist, to perform tree care including pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection and removals. You will support the team in site clearing and debris disposal while following safety protocols and company procedures.

The role emphasizes safe access, canopy movement, operation of powered equipment, and accurate reporting. You’ll work outdoors in varying conditions with a strong focus on teamwork and ongoing certifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow procedures and safety rules for roping and rigging, equipment maintenance, and reporting malfunctions.
• Read and interpret work orders and safety rules.
• Able to perform basic math for weight, volume and distance used in arborist operations.
• Strong communication and situational awareness in the field.
• Willingness to become EHAP, First-Aid and CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care tasks such as pruning and limb removal up to 60 feet.
• Access trees safely per protocols and move in canopy with care.
• Safely operate chippers, trucks and blowers.
• Use hand tools and chainsaws for canopy and ground work.
• Maintain safe, organized work zones and PPE usage.
