Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Climber I in New York to join our tree care team. This entry-level role performs pruning, cabling, bracing, and removals under supervision, with duties including debris removal and site clearing.

You will work outdoors, operate chippers and PPE, and follow safety protocols. Certification like EHAP/First-Aid/CPR is encouraged; CDL B is a plus. Candidates must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates role-specific skills and verifiable experience.
• Able to follow directions and procedures related to roping and rigging; maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
• Read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals; basic math for weight/volume/distance.

Responsibilities

• Perform pruning and limb removal on ground and in trees up to 60 feet tall.
• Access trees safely using company protocols and manage canopy movement without damage.
• Operate powered equipment (chippers, trucks, blowers) and use chainsaw techniques safely.
• Use hand tools (saws, pruners, rakes, shovels) according to PPE requirements.
• Maintain a safe, organized work zone and prevent property damage or injuries.
