Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking an entry-level Groundsperson to support tree trimming and removal operations. The role involves ground-level tasks such as clearing brush, chipping branches, and debris disposal, with no prior experience required.

Responsibilities include basic operation of equipment like woodchippers, trucks, and blowers, plus use of hand tools and PPE. Candidates must be able to work outdoors, lift heavy loads, and follow safety protocols. Flexible hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required (entry-level)
• Ability to operate safely around powered equipment
• Demonstrates willingness to learn basic tree care tasks
• Comfort working outdoors in variable weather
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ground-level tree care operations in support of pruning, removal, and maintenance activities
• Demonstrate introductory level proficiency in the safe operation of powered equipment, including woodchippers, trucks, and blowers
• Use hand tools such as hand saws, pole pruners, rakes, and shovels effectively and safely to complete assigned tree care tasks
• Select and use appropriate task-specific PPE in accordance with industry safety standards and company protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site. Implements traffic and pedestrian control measures and ensure the protection of the work zone at all times

Education

Follow procedures for roping and rigging

Perform basic arithmetic for measurements

Use standardized hand signals to communicate with climbers
