Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Groundsperson for Tree Care to join our maintenance teams. The role involves assisting with ground-level tree trimming, debris disposal, and supporting pruning and removal operations.

This entry-level position requires no prior experience or training, with emphasis on safety, basic equipment handling, and teamwork in outdoor environments. Candidates must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles).
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required if operating BrightView fleet vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ground-level tree care operations in support of pruning, removal, and maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate introductory level proficiency in the safe operation of powered equipment, including woodchippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Use hand tools such as hand saws, pole pruners, rakes, and shovels effectively and safely to complete assigned tree care tasks.
• Select and use appropriate task-specific PPE in accordance with industry safety standards and company protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site. Implement traffic and pedestrian control measures and ensure the protection of the work zone at all times.
