Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Groundsperson, Tree Care to support pruning and removal operations, perform ground-level tasks such as clearing brush, chipping branches, and managing debris disposal, and help maintain safe, tidy job sites outdoors.

This entry-level role requires no prior experience or training and emphasizes learning to operate basic powered equipment safely, using PPE correctly, following hand signals with climbers, and adhering to company safety standards during all weather

Qualifications

• Follow procedures related to roping and rigging.
• Estimate measurements for arboricultural tasks.
• Communicate using standardized hand signals.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ground-level tree care operations in support of pruning, removal, and maintenance activities
• Demonstrate introductory level proficiency in the safe operation of powered equipment, including woodchippers, trucks, and blowers
• Use hand tools such as hand saws, pole pruners, rakes, and shovels effectively and safely to complete assigned tree care tasks
• Select and use appropriate task-specific PPE in accordance with industry safety standards and company protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site. Implements traffic and pedestrian control measures and ensure the protection of the work zone at all times
