Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Drill Tech to join a crew of 3–4 on a mineral drilling site. This entry-level role requires rotating shifts and travel, and a valid driver’s license.

You will work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs, operate and support drilling site equipment, and help with site setup and daily paperwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, construction or outdoor industry experience preferred, and be reliable, safe, and capable of long 10–12 hour shifts

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to perform outside work in varying weather and travel as needed.
Good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
Familiarity with industry tools and equipment is a plus.
Must be dependable and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety and quality procedures.
Lift and move drill pipe and materials up to 50 lbs., assist with heavier components.
Collaborate with drilling crew and work independently to meet goals.
Operate and maintain service trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps, and other equipment.
Assist with transporting rigs and setting up job sites.
Complete daily paperwork for time and material records.
