Layne, A Granite Company in Elko, Nevada, is seeking an entry-level Drill Tech to assist a crew on mineral drilling sites. This position requires an individual who can travel overnight and has a valid driver's license, as well as reliable transportation.
The Drill Tech will be responsible for maintaining safety procedures and operating equipment at the site, lifting materials, and performing various essential tasks to support the drilling operation.
The Drill Tech is an entry level position that assists on a crew of 3 to 4 people on a mineral drilling site. This job requires overnight travel and successful candidates will have reliable transportation and valid driver’s licence.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a small hand tool. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push/pull up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
