Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer in Mechanicsburg, PA to join our Transportation Group. You’ll work with senior engineers on roadway and traffic projects, gaining hands-on experience from day one in a collaborative mentor-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have a Civil or Transportation Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and up to 4 years of experience, with strong communication and proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience; internships acceptable.
• Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing roadway alignments and typical sections.
• Prepare construction plans for roadway geometrics and MOT.
• Perform drainage and stormwater design with senior engineers.
• Support traffic engineering tasks (signals, ITS, signing, pavement markings).
• Utilize design software to produce plan sets and 3D models.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and assist with client meetings.
