Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will work in the Transportation Group, gaining experience in highway and traffic engineering while collaborating with senior engineers on projects for PennDOT, MDOT, DelDOT, and more.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or higher) is required to apply.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience; internships accepted.
• Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing roadway alignments, profiles, and typical sections.
• Prepare construction plans for roadway geometrics and MOT.
• Perform drainage and stormwater design tasks with supervision.
• Support traffic engineering designs including signals, ITS, signing, and markings.
• Produce plan sets and 3D models using MicroStation/OpenRoads/AutoCAD.
• Assist in preparing project reports, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and participate in site visits.
